RANDOM DRAW SCHOLARSHIP
General Information:
- Five, five hundred dollar ($500.00) scholarships will be distributed in September each year at the annual cookout from a blind drawing of all eligible applications.
- Completed applications must be submitted to, and received by, Local 4 on or before 31 July.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicant is a present dues-paying member of IFPTE Local 4, or the spouse of a present dues-paying Local 4 member (does not include Associate Members) OR
- The applicant's parent or legal guardian is a present dues-paying member of Local 4
AND
- Applicant must be attending or have been accepted into a two (2) or four (4) year, full-time college degree program (taking a minimum of two (2) courses during each designated school period - i.e., semester, trimester).
NORMAN L. QUIMBY SCHOLARSHIP
General Information:
- Two merit-based Norman L. Quimby scholarships of $1500.00 are awarded each year. Winners will be announced at the annual cookout in September.
- Candidates and their parent or guardian must complete the application form and return it with the additional items requested on the form. Application packages must be submitted to, and received by, Local 4 on or before 17 July.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate's parent or legal guardian must be a present, retired, or deceased dues-paying member of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers, Local 4.
- The candidate must be a graduating member of a high school senior class accepted at a college for full-time study, or must be a full-time college student. Preparatory schools are not included.
