Governing Documents

IFPTE Local 4 has several policy documents that govern the Local and its members, locally and federally.  These documents include the PDF icon Local's Bylaws and 2 contractual agreements:

In addition to the CBA , many mid-term bargained agreements (MOUs) exist for various topics including Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) for grievances, Flexible and Compressed Work Scheudules, etc.  Ask your supervisor or contact Local 4 for copies of these additional agreements.

The Federal Service Labor-Management Relations Statute is the federal law that establishes collective bargaining rights for most employees of the federal government in the United States under Title VII of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978. 

The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is the codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the departments and agencies of the federal government.  It is divided into 50 titles that represent broad areas subject to federal regulation.

The United States Code is a consolidation and codification by subject matter of he general and permanent laws of the United States.  It is prepared by the Office of the Law Revision Counsel of the United States House of Representatives .
